Hello lovelies! It’s literally been months since my last blog post, due to numerous other things demanding my attention, but today I’m back with what will hopefully be the first post of a more regular offering.
It has been ages since I made the trip to LUSH but today it is my Daughter’s 6th Birthday and as she is as huge a LUSH fan as her mummy I promised that I would treat her to some bath bombs and bubble bars. So off we went to LUSH Bury, which is one of LUSH’s newer stores and is always a pleasure to shop in!
Oh dear LUSH. After actually thinking you had got your act together last year with an online Boxing Day Sale that went relatively smoothly, you lose the plot this year with a queuing system that was useless!
After 4 hours getting nowhere nearer to accessing your website I broke my ‘no going to the shops on Boxing Day’ rule and drove to the Bury store. The silly thing was that after a 40 minute drive there, a couple of hours shopping and a stop for a pint, and a 40 minute drive back, when I got home again I was no nearer the front of the queue than I was at 10am (slow hand clap). At 4pm when I finally got on the site only a handful of sale products were left and the site was still incredibly glitchy.
Never mind LUSH, fortunately for me and many other your tireless staff at the Bury store kept the show on the road where your woefully inadequate site let customers down, and I bagged some great bargains including the following:
LUSH are constantly bringing out new and wonderful bath products to update their regular offering. Whether seasonal or limited editions, or new permanent lines, they never fail in their ability to excite eager fans with gorgeous and inventive bath products. In today’s blog I thought I would feature a few of my favourite LUSH creations, some new and some old.
Easter is always a wonderful time to visit LUSH, and is second only to Christmas as my favourite time to stock up on bath bombs. My favourite product from their range this year was the Humpty Dumpty Bath Bomb (£6.95), which not only looked incredibly cute but held a little surprise inside, for when you broke this sizeable bath bomb in two, you found that there was a miniature fried egg-shaped bath bomb inside! The bath bomb featured orange and bergamot, which gave it a sweet, warm and slightly musky scent, and it was large enough to use in three baths which helped soften the blow of the hefty pricetag.
I’ve been meaning to pop into Lush ever since the Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day ranges lauched but as ‘popping’ actually means a half hour drive down the M66 to Bury that trip only happened this weekend. This means I’m late to the party but finally I’ve checked out the range and picked up goodies from both ranges plus a couple of items that have been on my wishlist for a while.
Just over a week ago I wrote about all the amazing bargains I grabbed in the Lush Boxing Day sale, but that was only the half of it. Whilst prices were so low I couldn’t resist stocking up and placed a second order, ensuring that my baths will be well supplied with gorgeous products for at least the next couple of months.
This year’s Lush Boxing Day sale proved to be even more stressful than last year, as the website was completely swamped by Lush fanatics, eager to get their hands on bargainous bath bombs and limited edition favourites before they sold out – with a massive 50% saving on all their Christmas stock who could blame them?! In fact for a lot of customers it proved impossible to make a purchase and Lush took the brave step of pulling the site and, a first for them, extended the sale beyond the usual one day.
Luckily I was prepared to have a battle on my hands and with my finger poised on the refresh button and a lot of persistence I managed to make an order on Boxing Day and I’m so excited to share my haul with you today!
It’s that time of year when Lush reveal their Christmas range and their stores come alive with legions of cute santa bubble bars, sparkly fairy wands and spicy scented bath bombs. This year however I’ve not been able to make it to a store so instead made an order online. Along with a few old favourites are some brand new creations, so lets take a peek at just a selection from the Lush Christmas 2015 range.
Well Summer is in full swing, even if the weather thinks otherwise, and we are now halfway through August, so I guess that means I ought to empty the bathroom bin, take out the recycling and give you a run down of all the products I used up in July.
We don’t have a LUSH store in my town so naturally when I’m in another city and pass one I feel compelled to duck inside and snap up a few goodies. A few weeks I was in Preston and picked up a few bath bombs for myself and my four year old daughter, who is equally as obsessed by Lush as I am, to enjoy.
