It’s time for another beauty box review and today it’s the turn of the January YOU Beauty Box who for the New Year have brought us their Detox Edit.
As you might imagine this edit features some great products designed to give your skin, hair and body plenty of TLC after the excesses of Christmas, helping to hydrate, renew and repair. The line-up also features a good mix of both familiar and new brands, so whether you prefer tried & tested products or like me love a new discovery, there is something for everyone. Read on to see what I chose!
My first beauty box review this month is July’s Birchbox, which landed on my doorstep this month in a burst of colour!
This month’s box is a collaboration with a Millie Macintosh, which I guess if you follow celebrities is supposed to make you jump up and down with excitement, but other than knowing she was once married to Professor Green i’m not at all familiar with the former reality TV star. That said, it is a pretty looking box with a stellar line-up of treats so without further ado let’s take a peek inside.
The April edition of the So Susan LipLove Bag has arrived. With the theme ‘I Love Spring’ this month’s bag is all about new beginnings, shedding our Winter coats and emerging revived and rejuvenated, and the canvas bag features a lovely quote from Harriet Ann Jacobs;
“The beautiful spring came; and when Nature resumes her loveliness, the human soul is apt to revive also.”
Let’s take a look inside to see what this month’s offerings are!
My March So Susan LipLove Bag arrived a week or so a go, but being quite busy over the last week it’s only now I’ve had chance to sit down and really take in the contents from this delightful makeup subscripton.
This month’s theme is “I love spreading kindness” and the canvas bag is printed with a lovely design and quote from Vincent Van Gogh;
“Whoever loves much, performs much and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is done well”
Nestled inside this gorgeous bag is a selection of four skin friendly, cruelty-free makeup treats, so let’s take a closer look!
Pink Parcel are a subscription service with a difference; instead of simply delivering indulgent beauty and lifestyle treats to your door they also ensure your monthly needs are met with the reliable supply of sanitary items. With a choice of 3 delivery dates Pink Parcel really take the worry out of ‘that’ time of the month and ensure that no matter when your cycle falls, your parcel will arrive just in time!
My March box has just arrived so let’s delve inside and see what is in this month’s box.
February’s So Susan LipLove bag has arrived. Emblazoned on the gorgeous canvas bag this month is a lovely motivational quote from Albert Einstein encouraging us to plow on whatever challenges we face;
“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.”
Likewise if you’re stuck in a makeup rut this month’s Lip Love bag will shake up your beauty routine with its selection of cruelty-free cosmetics; perking up your complexion and perfecting your pout, and making you feel confident and ready to face life’s challenges head on!
I completely forgot my January So Susan Lip Love Bag was due to arrive so when it landed on my doormat I was pleasantly surprised.
The “I Love Myself” Bag, which features a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson
“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment”
is all about channeling those positive vibes and learning to love ourselves. So maybe you’ve already fallen off the Dryanuary waggon or the New Year’s diet has fallen by the wayside, who cares! Be bold, be beautiful, be you!
December’s So Susan LipLove bag is here. This month’s theme is ‘I Love Peace & Joy’ and as usual the pretty little canvas makeup bag is emblazoned with a fitting quote – this month from Lao Tzulip;
“Be content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are. When you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you.”
The month of December is all about being surrounded by family and friends, looking back upon the year that has passed and planning for the year to come, so let’s enjoy the last two weeks of 2015 and enjoy delving into the contents of this month’s LipLove bag!
