W7 Metallic Flash Lip Gloss

I miss the fun I used to have with makeup when I was a teenager. Sometimes I think we’re so preoccupied trying to achieve the perfect winged eyeliner that we forget to enjoy ourselves and experiment like we did in our younger years. Sure my foundation may have been badly applied and far too orange but it never dented my 16 year old self’s confidence and to be honest I don’t think any of my mates cared.

One of my favourite things when I was younger was wearing crazy lip colours so when I came across W7 Metallic Flash Lip Gloss recently in a local discount store I was transported back to the time when my friends and I would scour the local market looking for the gaudiest makeup we could find.

National Lipstick Day with W7 Lip Paint

Apparently it’s National Lipstick Day today so as all good beauty bloggers should I’m embracing the day and celebrating by donning a brightly coloured lipstick.

Now, I suppose I shouldn’t really admit this on such a day as today but I’m not really a lipstick girl (sorry, not sorry) and I usually reach for lip gloss when doing my makeup, but these days there are some wonderful hybrid products out there that offer the vibrancy of a lipstick with the feel of a gloss. I love that these products give me the chance to achieve a bolder lip without stepping too far out of my comfort zone.

W7 Wild Lash Mascara

I was recently away visiting family when I realised the mascara I had in my travel makeup bag had dried out. Cue a mad dash to the nearest shop, which was a discount retailer, to pick up a cheap mascara to last me the weekend.

The retailer carried a few non-descript brands which I duly passed over, but as my eyes skimmed the shelves I noticed a W7 mascara. Having been impressed with products from this budget friendly brand before I decided to grab this mascara and give it a whirl. At worst it only cost me £1!

Beauty on a Budget – W7 Cosmetics

When I was growing up and first experimenting with beauty, budget makeup was basic to put it politely. Foundations came in only a handful of different shades, all of which tended to look orange, and the formulas were heavy resulting in a cakey, mask like finish, yet we still thought we looked the bees-knees! Luckily these days we have so much more choice when it comes to shades and finishes, from barely there bases to full coverage, and you can achieve the look you want without breaking the bank. Technology from higher end beauty brands has also filtered down to the mass market and budget brands have been quick to adopt new formulas and finishes, which has been great for those of us who can’t afford a £30 foundation!

One of the great success stories has been W7 Cosmetics. Their range is huge, highly affordable, and with palettes that rival popular high-end brands they’re a popular choice for people who want the look without the associated pricetag. I was sent a few of their products to play with and having heard great things about W7 makeup I was very excited to see how their products performed. What I tried impressed me massively.

Pink Parcel – December Unboxing

My December Pink Parcel landed this week; the most practical of my subscription boxes this one offers everything you require for your periods, with a few added beauty treats, for the rather bargainous price of £9.95! Each month I’ve been extremely impressed by the items they include and the overall value of the boxes, but dare I say it, December’s box is the best yet!
